New features, improvements and fixes in VoiceAlign, newest first.
October 2026
Your work
Your work fits the screen you are on
Your work is now a compact chronological list on your phone, so you can scan and reopen something quickly. On a larger screen, choose a row to read its full summary and details beside the list without losing your place.
Links
A short address for the app
You can now open VoiceAlign at app.voicealign.xyz, and go straight to a flow with app.voicealign.xyz/gather, /collect, /give, /align or /testimonial. Your old links keep working.
Embed
Feedback buttons that match your site
You can now pick how your feedback buttons look: an outline (as before), a solid button, or a plain underlined link, and set the colour and corner radius to match your brand. Buttons your site adds after the page loads, like in a new view or a popup, now work on their own.
Agents and API
Your assistant can add a feedback button for you
Ask your assistant to put a feedback button on a page and it now finds the embed code right in your feedback request, with how to place and style it, instead of reaching for the share link. The developer docs gained copy-paste examples in curl, JavaScript and Python. Your private link's secret is no longer repeated in what your assistant reads, so it can't end up in a log by accident.
Embed
See where you have already left feedback
You can now scroll a page with feedback buttons and see at a glance where you have answered: each button you used shows a check, and the ones you haven't stay as they were. Click a checked one to add more. Your checks are remembered in your browser when you come back.
Review screen
A failed draft tells you, with a Retry button
You now see a clear error and a Retry button when VoiceAlign cannot organize what you said, and your words stay where they are. Before, you could end up with an empty brief marked ready.
Agents and API
Developer docs for your assistant
Your assistant can now find everything it needs to work a link in one place: every kind of link, every read and action with its fields, and how to work a link well. Every link it reads points there.
Embed
Put a voice feedback button on your own website
You can now add a button or a small dot to any page of your site, and visitors record or type their feedback in a popup without leaving it. Their responses land on your feedback request marked Embed, with the page and section they came from.
- Copy the code from Request & settings, and choose which sites may use it.
- Set a daily limit, see opens against responses, and revoke the code at any time.
Feedback requests
Choose whether reviewers see the brief
You can now turn the brief off on a feedback request, so reviewers go straight from what they said to their details and Send.
Recording
The page holds still while you record on a phone
Your screen no longer shifts up and down while you record on a phone. The status line at the top stopped rewriting itself every second.
Recording
Jump anywhere in a recording
You can now see a recording's full length, drag the playhead or skip five seconds either way, and tap any sentence under the player to hear it from there.
Review screen
Attach any file, any way
You can now paste a screenshot, drop files or choose them from your device, and any kind of file is accepted. Kinds that cannot be previewed download instead of opening.
- Files sent by replying to an email are accepted too.
- A link you pin as context keeps its preview image.
Private page
Your link's title and context stay as you set them
You can now edit the links and notes pinned to a request from its own page, up to ten of them. A title you type is kept exactly as typed, and later edits to the brief no longer rewrite it.
Feedback requests
Pick up an unsent response where you left it
Resume now takes you back to the link you were answering, with the words you typed back in the box. The saved draft bar names the link and shows your first words.
Private page
Find any response fast
You can now search a private page across titles, summaries, points, names and transcripts, with matches highlighted and steps between them. Every response also carries a short id like #e76f8 that you can search for or use to point someone at it.
- Searching on a phone no longer slides the page sideways.
Review screen
Send keeps what you typed
Text you left in an answer, a correction or an open Add context box is now included when you press Send, instead of being lost. If something cannot go in, your text stays put and Send tells you why.
Recording
Long recordings become complete briefs
A long meeting recording now becomes a brief that covers the whole conversation. It no longer stops partway, times out or cuts off after twelve points, and detail lines stay on their own lines.
Agents and API
Your assistant can check for only what is new
Your assistant can now ask a link for only what changed since its last look: new responses, comments and status changes. When nothing changed, it gets an empty list.
Reactions
A reaction is one shared page
Everyone you send a reaction to now shares one page with you, where anyone can comment and move its status. Each person gets their own emails, kept in one thread.
- When someone else shares your reaction, the email names them, and the new person's reply lands on the reaction.
Emails
Reply to an email to join in
You can now reply to a VoiceAlign email and your words land in the right place, as a comment, a response or a take, with quoted history and signatures removed.
- If a discussion is closed, you get a link to reopen it and post your reply.
- A screenshot pasted into your reply is kept as a file.
Links
Short links for every kind of link
Your links are now short and say what they are, like feedback.voicealign.xyz, and they open straight into VoiceAlign.
Emails
Stop or snooze notifications from the email
You can now stop a reaction's or a discussion's emails, or snooze them for 24 hours, from the links in any of its emails. The page shows who stopped them, with a button to turn them back on.
Emails
Shorter emails you can find again
Emails now give you the bottom line and one button, and each person gets their own message instead of a cc. Every item carries a search code you can look up in your inbox.
- Discussion invites, new takes and wrap-ups arrive in one thread per discussion.
- A take's link opens the discussion at that take.
Notes
Comments on your notes, and a way to tell your team
You can now leave comments on your private notes, and nobody is emailed about them. On a feedback or testimonial response, a private comment can also notify you and the people on Also notify when you tick Notify the team.
Discussions
Discussions get a short heading
Every discussion now opens with a short heading of about six words, with the full topic under it. Discussions and reactions also go by those names everywhere, with "% decided" and "Open questions" in a discussion.
Private page
Copy a response with all its context
You can now copy a response as just the brief, or with all its context: the transcript, actions, comments and links. The menu remembers your last choice.
Agents and API
Assistants say who they act for
When your assistant leaves feedback, a comment or a status change for you, it now shows as "Adrian via Claude Code". The name is self-reported and not verified.
Everywhere
Add files wherever you talk
You can now attach files when you send feedback, make a request, respond, post a take or comment, so the screenshot or deck sits next to what was said. Images and text open in a viewer on the page, PDFs open in a new tab and Office files download.
- Testimonial requests can ask for a headshot, a company logo and supporting files.
- Emails list the files with Open and Download links.
- A Files fold gathers every file in a discussion.
Agents and API
Your assistant can read attached files
Your assistant can now read the files people attach to responses, takes, comments and testimonials, with a link to each and who added it. Assistants read files but never upload them.
Review screen
A calmer review screen
The review screen now does one job: reading and fixing your brief. Tap any text to edit it, Send stays at the bottom on small screens, and Copy, the original recording, Undo and Discard sit in a menu beside it.
- Adding a new topic while refining keeps your existing points.
- A title that already starts with "Feedback on" no longer says it twice.
Review screen
Clarifying questions come in rounds
You now get up to three clarifying questions beside your draft, and only when an answer would clearly help. Answer by typing or recording, cover several with one answer, or close them for good.
Feedback requests
Choose what responders must give
You can now set whether responders must give their name and email, on feedback and testimonial requests. Feedback requests default to name required and email optional.
Discussions
Your discussion drafts survive a reload
A take or comment you are typing in a discussion is now kept on your browser and refilled when you come back. On phones the screen stays awake while you record.
Feedback requests
Work your feedback like a to-do list
Every response on your feedback request is now a ticket you can move from Open to Done, with Potential actions drawn from what was said and comments you can type or dictate. The person's own words never change.
- Edit, add, merge or remove actions, each with its own status.
- Mark a ticket Won't do, Duplicate or Archived to put it away.
- Name an anonymous response once you know who sent it.
- Statuses and comments work on testimonial requests too.
Agents and API
Every link tells your assistant how to work it
Every private link your assistant reads now carries a short note: who owns a ticket's status, the shared practices, what sends email, and what it may do on that kind of link.
Everywhere
Your work is kept while you pay
Everything you make keeps the paid retention for as long as you pay: links, briefs, responses, takes, comments and tickets. When access ends it drops to 30 days from the end of the paid period, and paying again restores it.
Private page
Request and settings in one place
You can now see and edit your whole request from one Request & settings section on its private page: the request as reviewers see it, who gets notified and your settings. Quick actions let you share it, keep it for yourself or add an idea without leaving the page.
- Copy buttons always copy this page's links, never the last page you opened.
- Switching between private pages no longer mixes up their data.
Your work
Your work keeps everything you make
Your work now gathers every brief and link you make in one library, so you can come back to any of them. Every kind of link confirms "Saved to Your work" when you create it.
- Archive what you no longer need, and a discarded brief leaves the library.
Everywhere
VoiceAlign behaves on phones
Tapping a text field on a phone no longer zooms or shifts the page, copy buttons work on phones, and a discussion's menus stay on screen.
Discussions
Discussions that show where the group stands
A discussion now shows how close the group is to agreeing: points read as settled or not, people mark "settled for me" or "I disagree" with a reason, and up to three open questions stay in view. Closing it writes a wrap-up.
- Add people by email. A new take emails everyone else, and so does the wrap-up.
- Point a question at specific people; it closes only when one of them answers.
- Every take keeps what the person actually said, with its recording.
Agents and API
Assistants can take part in discussions
Your assistant can now reply to a question, set a stance on a point, dismiss a question, point a question at people and add people, all under its own name.
Feedback requests
Answering a request starts with the link
Reviewers now see the request on top and three steps beneath it: open the link, talk, finish. The link shows as a card with its title, and tapping it before recording asks whether to record first.
Recording
Recordings reach the owner again
Responses now arrive with their recording and play back on the private page. For a time they arrived with their words but no audio.
Recording
One audio player everywhere
Every recording now plays in the same player: seek, skip five seconds back or forward, and set a speed from 1x to 2x that every player on the page remembers. Play all runs through them with previous and next.
Review screen
Pin context to any brief
You can now pin the link under review, other links or pasted text to a brief, each with a note on what it is for. Everyone who reads the brief sees them, and so do the emails that carry it.
Links
Link previews say what the link is
A VoiceAlign link pasted into Slack, Discord, WhatsApp, Telegram, LinkedIn or Twitter now unfurls with a card saying what it opens and who is asking. Private pages show that they are private, with their title.
Review screen
Your edits are what gets sent
Changes you make on the review screen now save before you send, so the person asking receives your corrected title, bottom line and points.
